How much does a memory quilt cost?
The price depends on the quilt size, the style you choose, and how many clothing items you have. If you count your logos or clothing pieces, you can enter that number in the quantity field in your cart after you choose a style to get an estimated price. If the items need to be cut larger, the price may change.
How many shirts or clothing pieces will you need?
It depends on your quilt size and the size of each logo or design. Larger designs may use fewer pieces, while smaller ones may take more. I usually cut each shirt logo or clothing item at 12" or 14", so the best count will depend on the layout you choose.
How long does it take to make my quilt?
Depending on the size and complexity, anywhere from 3 hours to 20 hours? I average 1-2 quilts per week. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location. Local Pickup is available if you are in Alabama.
When should you order, and how fast do quilts usually finish?
I usually make 1–2 quilts a week, so my schedule can fill up quickly—especially around graduation, back-to-school, and Christmas. For holiday or graduation orders, please give me 8–10 weeks. If you need a rush order, I may be able to fit you in for a $50 rush fee.
What should you do before sending your clothing items?
Please wash your items first, and skip perfumed detergents and dryer sheets. Mark any part of a T-shirt you do not want used with an X using blue painter’s tape or masking tape. If you want an item used in full, just attach a note. If you have a special request, like centering a design, please write it on the tape. For stains or holes, I usually leave them as they are unless you tell me otherwise.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
How should I wash and care for my memory quilt?
Use cold water and a gentle detergent, and keep the wash cycle short. Skip hot water and bleach. You can tumble dry on low, but I recommend hanging it to dry when you can. I don’t recommend dry cleaning unless your quilt has a custom photo printed on fabric, since printed images can fade over time.
